Itinerary

Day 1 Frankfurt – Black Forest

Depart Frankfurt for Heidelberg for a walking tour of the town. Next stop is Baden-Baden. In the afternoon continue to the Black Forest. Welcome dinner at your hotel. Overnight at Hotel Schwarzwald Residenz Triberg or similar.

Day 2 Black Forest – Füssen

After breakfast depart for Lake Constance. Enjoy a walking tour in Lindau. Continue through the Allgäu, viewing the Bavarian Alps. In Hohenschwangau visit Neuschwanstein Castle. Overnight at Treff Hotel Luitpoldpark, Füssen or similar.

Day 3 Füssen – Munich

Arrive at Oberammergau, home of the Passion Plays, stopping at the Benedictine Abbey of Ettal. Continue to Munich. Enjoy a city tour ending at the Christmas market. Overnight at Hotel Erzgießerei Europe München or similar.
Day 4 Munich – Salzburg – Munich

A full-day excursion to Salzburg. Walking tour through the Old Town, including sights such as Mozart’s birthplace, the Getreidegasse and the cathedral. Explore the city at your leisure; visit the Christmas Market and taste the famous sweet made in Salzburg, the Mozartkugeln. Overnight at Hotel Erzgießerei Europe München or similar.

Day 5 Munich – Rothenburg – Nuremberg

Drive along Romantic Road to Rothenburg. After a walking tour including the Jakobskirche enjoy the Christmas Market. Make sure you take time to visit the world famous Christmas shop. In the afternoon continue to Nuremberg. Overnight at Hotel Maximilian Nürnberg or similar.

Day 6 Nuremberg

Join the walk to the “Christkindl Market” in Nuremberg. Visit the Kaiserburg Castle before exploring the Christmas Market. Enjoy a Christmas dinner in one of the restaurants & get a small Christmas gift. Overnight at Hotel Maximilian Nürnberg or similar.

Day 7 Nuremberg – Würzburg – Frankfurt

Depart for Würzburg. Enjoy a tour of the Residence and a last visit to a Christmas Market. Arrive in Frankfurt in the afternoon.
