Enjoy a journey to Heidelberg, the old university town at the banks of Neckar River and then travel on the Romantic Road to Rothenburg, Germany’s well-preserved “Jewel of the Middle Ages”.

Start your tour with a regular diversified half-day trip to Heidelberg, the old university town at the banks of Neckar River, including a visit of the inner courtyard of Heidelberg Castle (lunchbox provided). After returning to Frankfurt, check-in at your hotel and the rest of the day is free for own activities. Overnight at InterCityHotel or similar.

Depart Frankfurt for a picturesque drive through the Spessart mountains to Würzburg, on the banks of the river Main. Continue on the Romantic Road to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany’s well-preserved “Jewel of the Middle Ages” with its ramparts, city gates, town hall and Jakobskirche (church) with an altar by the famous wood-carver Tilman Riemenschneider.Upon arrival in Rothenburg, a taxi will take you to your hotel. In the afternoon or evening you are invited to join the city walk with a local guide or the historic night Watchman in Rothenburg. Overnight at Hotel Spitzweg or similar.

After breakfast, a taxi will meet you at your hotel and take you to the bus stop. Your coach drives along the Romantic Road passing picturesque places as Dinkelsbühl and Nördlingen with high-gabled houses and cobbled-stoned streets. Via Augsburg, a metropolis during the roman times and famous for old trade dynasties during the Middle Ages, you reach Munich, where your tour ends at approximately 6:00p.m.

Reverse Itinerary:

Tour ends in Frankfurt at approx. 3:30p.m.
