Meet your guide at the station and begin your city walk, including a visit to the inner courtyard of Heidelberg Castle. Time to explore Heidelberg on your own, before returning to Frankfurt by train. This morning, travel through the Spessart Mountains to Würzburg. Enjoy a picturesque drive along the Castle Road via Heilbronn to reach Rothenburg, Germany's well-preserved 'Jewel of the Middle Ages', with its ramparts, city gates, town hall and Jakobskirche church, with an altar by famous wood-carver Tilman Riemenschneider. On arrival, transfer by taxi to your hotel. This evening, join a city walk with Rothenburg's historic Night Watchman. Overnight at Hotel Spitzweg or similar. B

Spend the morning at your leisure. This afternoon, transfer by taxi from the hotel to your coach stop, and travel along the Romantic Road passing such picturesque places as Dinkelsbühl, Nördlingen with high-gabled houses and cobbled streets. Arrive at Augsburg in the afternoon. Overnight at Hotel Intercity or similar. B

Spend the morning at your leisure. At 2pm, join the city walk starting at the City Hall. See all the sights of Augsburg which is famous for its old trading dynasties (the Fuggers). Late in the afternoon, board the coach to Hohenschwangau. Overnight at Hotel Müller or similar. B

In the morning, collect your entrance tickets to Neuschwanstein Castle from the hotel front desk. Visit the famous 'Cinderella Castle' built by King Ludwig II. Late in the afternoon, proceed to Munich where your tour ends at about 7pm. B
