ItineraryDay 1 Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Frankfurt
Start your tour with a regular diversified half-day trip to Heidelberg, the old university town at the banks of Neckar river, including a visit of the inner courtyard of Heidelberg Castle (lunchbox provided). After returning to Frankfurt, the rest of the day is free for own activities. Overnight at InterCityHotel or similar. Day 2 Frankfurt - Rothenburg
Depart Frankfurt for a drive through the Spessart mountains to Würzburg. Continue on the Romantic Road to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany’s well-preserved “Jewel of the Middle Ages” with its ramparts, city gates, and Jakobskirche (church) with an altar by the woodcarver Tilman Riemenschneider. Upon arrival in Rothenburg, a taxi will take you to your hotel. In the afternoon or evening join the city walk with a local guide or the historic night Watchman in Rothenburg. Overnight at Hotel Spitzweg or similar. Day 3 Rothenburg - Augsburg
After breakfast, a taxi will meet you at your hotel and take you to the bus stop. Your coach drives along the Romantic Road passing places such as Dinkelsbühl and Nördlingen. Arrive Augsburg in the early afternoon. Overnight at InterCityHotel or similar. Day 4 Augsburg - Hohenschwangau
After breakfast, you are invited to join a city tour starting from the City Hall. You will see the important sights of Augsburg, which is famous for its old trading dynasties. In the afternoon you board the coach again for Hohenschwangau. Overnight at Hotel Müller or similar. Day 5 Hohenschwangau - Munich
In the morning you receive your tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle at the front desk of your hotel and visit the famous castle built by King Ludwig II. In the late afternoon you proceed to Munich, where tour ends at approximately 7:00p.m. |
