ItineraryDay 1 Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Frankfurt
Start your tour with a regular diversified half-day trip to Heidelberg, the old university town at the banks of Neckar River, including a visit of the inner courtyard of Heidelberg Castle (lunchbox provided). After returning to Frankfurt, the rest of the day is free for own activities. Overnight at InterCityHotel or similar. Day 2 Frankfurt - Rothenburg
Depart from Frankfurt for a picturesque drive through the Spessart mountains to Würzburg, on the banks of the River Main. Continue on the romantic road to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany’s well-preserved "Jewel of the Middle Ages" with its ramparts, city gates, town hall and Jakobskirche (church) with an altar by the famous wood-carver Tilman Riemenschneider. Upon arrival in Rothenburg, a taxi will take you to your hotel. In the afternoon or evening please join the city walk with a local guide or the historic night Watchman in Rothenburg. Overnight at Hotel Spitzweg or similar. Day 3 Rothenburg - Hohenschwangau
After breakfast, a taxi will meet you at your hotel and take you to the bus stop. Your coach drives along the romantic road passing such picturesque places as Dinkelsbühl and Nördlingen, with high-gabled houses and cobbled-stone streets. Via Augsburg, a metropolis during the roman times and famous for old trade dynasties during the Middle Ages, you reach Hohenschwangau in the evening. Overnight at Hotel Müller or similar. Day 4 Hohenschwangau - Munich
In the morning you receive your tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle at the front desk of your hotel and visit the famous "Cinderella Castle", built by King Ludwig II. In the late afternoon you proceed to Munich, where tour ends at approximately 7:00p.m. Reverse itinerary:Includes additionally a visit to Linderhof Castle. |
