Depart Frankfurt for a picturesque tour through the Spessart Mountains to Würzburg, on the banks of the River Main. Continue along the Romantic Road to Rothenburg, Germany’s well-preserved ‘Jewel of the Middle Ages’ with its ramparts, city gates, town hall and Jakobskirche with an altar by famous woodcarver Tilman Riemenschneider. On arrival in Rothenburg, transfer by taxi to your hotel. In the afternoon, join the guided city walk tour or the evening Night Watchman tour. Overnight at Hotel Spitzweg, or similar.

After breakfast, transfer by taxi from the hotel to your coach stop. Your coach drives along the Romantic Road passing through such picturesque places as Dinkelsbühl, Nördlingen and Donauworth, with its high-gabled houses and cobbled streets. Continue through Augsburg, a metropolis during the Roman times and famous for its old trade dynasties during the Middle Ages.
