Depart Frankfurt for a picturesque drive through the Spessart Mountains to Würzburg, on the banks of the River Main. Continue on the Romantic Road to Rothenburg, Germany’s well preserved ‘Jewel of the Middle Ages’ with its ramparts, city gates, town hall and Jakobskirche church, with an altar by famous wood-carver Tilman Riemenschneider. Rothenburg is the dream town for all romantics. This old Imperial Free City is known for its well-preserved medieval old town. On arrival in Rothenburg, a taxi will take you to your hotel. In the afternoon or evening, join the city walk with a local guide or historic Night Watchman in Rothenburg. Overnight at Hotel Spitzweg, or similar.

Take a taxi to your coach stop. Your coach drives along the Romantic Road, passing such picturesque places as Dinkelsbühl, Nördlingen and Donauworth, with high-gabled houses and cobbled streets. Continue via Augsburg, a metropolis during the Roman times and famous for old trade dynasties during the Middle Ages, and reach Hohenschangau. Overnight at Hotel Müller, or similar.

This morning, collect your entrance tickets to Neuschwanstein Castle from the hotel front desk. Visit the awe-inspiring ‘Cinderella Castle’ built by King Ludwig II. Late in the afternoon, proceed to Munich where your tour ends at about 7:30p.m.
